But, what k i n d of music is it?

Welcome to my site; I hope you enjoy the content. I get asked the above question whenever I mention that I compose music. I actually appreciate that we have so many descriptive names for today's various musical styles and sub-genres. However, if I had to choose from the list, I could barely say it with one breath . . .
my music can be described as:
Progressive, New Age, Instrumental, Ambient,
Soundscape, Contemporary Folk, Neo-Classical,
Psychoacoustic, Environmental-Spacescape Music
intended to help with
Relaxation, Sleep, Visualization,
Meditation, and Reflection
put simply:

I combine field recordings from nature and integrate them into thematic and soothing music.
"The gentle burbling of a brook, or the sound of the wind in the trees can physically change our mind and bodily systems, helping us to relax."
New research demonstrates that natural sounds were associated with a decrease in the body’s sympathetic response (the “fight-or-flight” feeling) and an increase in parasympathetic response—the one that helps the body relax and function in normal circumstances.
